The Tube-Tech ME 1B Midrange Equalizer, Mono is a high-end equalisation unit designed specifically to accentuate the midrange. The ME 1B features a passive, all-tube design utilising two tube diodes (ECC 82 and ECC 83). These hand-picked tubes deliver classic tube warmth, reminiscent of equalisation units from the late 80s. It focuses on the midrange of your sound, helping to the build the body of your audio for a pronounced sound. Its designed to shape the midrange, delivering smooth and musical equalisation. The ME 1B Midrange EQ is ideal for everything from vocals and instruments to speech and other midrange-based sources.
The versatile design makes the unit ideal for a range of applications from sound design to mixing and mastering. The simple yet comprehensive controls allow you to dial in on specific frequencies with ease. It features classic-style potentiometers for the low, mid and high frequency range. It includes two boosts and one dip section for improved control. You can use it for everything from EQing sound sources to helping in the final mix of a song.
The control panel is comprised of a low frequency boost section for peaking, as well as a mid-frequency attenuator for dipping and a high boost section for peaking. It also includes a passive filter section which is proceeded by the tube-based push-pull amplifier, that restores the gain for improved audio performance. Both the input and output are fully floating and balanced, with a static screen between the primary and secondary wirings.
The vintage aesthetic is inspired by retro-style designs from the late 80s. The blue faceplate is accentuated by the conductive plastic potentiometers. The design is based on legendary EQs from the late 80s, providing a smooth and musical way of controlling your midrange. It also includes a gold-plated switch and an overload indicator in the form of a bright LED light.
