What's included?
Digital Drums 700 Electronic Drum Kit by Gear4music
Authentic on-board sounds across a range of genres
Explore 52 pre-set kits on the digital drums 700, covering rock, jazz, reggae, and electronic genres. Each kit can be fully customised to your preference, with the option to change any pad to trigger one of 948 built-in samples. The vast sample library even includes audio from genres that aren't covered by the pre-set kits, allowing you to discover your own unique sound.
If you do decide to change the sound of a certain pad, or indeed create an entirely new kit of your own, you can keep your customisations by simply pressing the save button. This saves your selected sounds, including any effects and volume alterations, as a user kit, making it easily accessible at any time via the main screen.
You can add a range of effects to individual pads to fully customise your pre-set or user kit. These effects include; tone, pan, decay and reverb. You can even edit the mix as a whole by editing the room size, reverb type, reverb level, reverb time, and EQ.
Adjust the finer details
Customising your kit doesn't end at on-board effects and samples. Each trigger can be adjusted on the module to provide the perfect sound and response. This includes the sensitivity, threshold, and dynamic range of each trigger. In addition to this, you can customise the head, rim, and cross stick sounds independently, and the dedicated hi-hat settings allow you to tweak the sensitivity of the hi-hat pedal. If the screen brightness and contrast isn’t for you, you can increase or reduce it in the utility settings. You can also rename any user kit to a name of your choice for easy identification.
With a single press of a button, you can access a range of extremely handy features. This includes, tempo, click, record, save, and play.
- Tempo - adjust the speed, beat, rhythm, voice, and volume of the tempo track
- Click – press to instantly add a click track to the tempo selected
- Record – begins recording your playing. Synchronized recording also allows you to record with a backing track
- Save – Save a user kit
- Play – play the selected demo kit or a previous recording
Realistic and versatile
The DD700 has been designed with drummers in mind, with features allowing you to play without sacrificing the nuance of your acoustic performances. The pads on the kit are made from a double layered elastic mesh and can be tuned using the 6-lugs to match your exact preferences in terms of feel and stick response. Each shell features a rubber protector on its edge, ensuring rimshots are accurately and quietly captured. The lightweight cymbals have been carefully designed to provide a realistic 'wobble', reacting just like an acoustic cymbal would when hit.
The connectivity of the DD700 is expansive with USB MIDI, a 5-pin MIDI in and out, aux in, stereo headphone out, Left/Mono & Right line out and Bluetooth audio. The MIDI out allows you to connect the kit directly to a DAW for MIDI recordings, whilst the Bluetooth audio allows you to play along to your favourite songs from your smartphone or tablet. There is also space for an additional tom pad and a crash pad to expand your kit (sold separately).
Develop your drumming with the on-board tutoring mode
The tutoring mode on the DD700 includes two activities: warm and quiet.
- Warm is a warm up you can do before you begin playing. This mode guides you through playing singles, doubles, triplets, and quarter notes to a tempo track. You can adjust the speed, difficulty, and number of cycles to make the warm up as suitable as possible for you.
- Quiet is similar to the warm up, although the click track drops and in out. This is incredibly useful to practice and monitor how well you can keep time with and without a tempo track. At the end of the session, the LCD display shows you the percentage of correct hits, bad timings, and complete misses. In this mode you can adjust the tempo, beat, rhythm, voice, and volume. You can also adjust the length of the bar and how long the tempo track drops out for. Feeling brave? There’s even a random mode for added fun and more difficulty.

sideKIK Personal Musician's Amp with Bluetooth by Gear4music
Immersive Sound Technology
Featuring Gear4music’s ‘Immersive Sound Technology’ (or IST), the SideKIK offers perfect sound reproduction in a wide range of applications. The inclusion and positioning of the 6" woofer ensures that you won't just hear bass, you'll feel it! This is excellent for providing you with an extended bass response to accurately reproduce low-frequency content, such as bass guitars or lower octaves of a digital piano. It faces directly forwards so the low frequency energy helps to generate an immersive sound. You'll certainly feel the benefit when practicing with an electronic drum kit. The sideKIK will make kick drums feel and sound just like the real thing!
The two 3.5" high-frequency tweeters have been carefully angled so it directs straight towards your upper body, making it the perfect floor monitor. The speaker's innovative design doesn’t end here. The tweeters are offset away from each other to ensure maximum dispersion of the mid and high frequency spectrum. In short, you’re still going to get that same great sound, whether you’re directly in front of the speaker or whether you’re at the other side of the room. No compromise necessary.
The inclusion of EQ dials allow you to globally tweak the sound of the sideKIK's first and second inputs to adjust their tonality. The low-frequency band provides a gradual bump at 150Hz for body and weight (perfect for a bit more kick drum or bass guitar), whilst the high-frequency band at 7.5kHz offers an ultra-smooth sheen for "record-ready" results.
Making connections
The wide range of connectivity options on the rear of the SideKIK makes it an invaluable asset. Two on-board combi-jack inputs allow you to directly connect either dynamic microphones or line-level sources such as electro-acoustic guitars, as well as electronic drum kits and keyboards.
Should you desire to connect your laptop, phone or tablet, channel 3 boasts a 3.5mm TRS minijack input which can be used for monitoring purposes. For stress-free, streamlined set-ups take advantage of Bluetooth connectivity, this transforms the monitor into a fully functional speaker, allowing you to sit back and enjoy your favourite songs. It can even be used to perform alongside backing tracks!
All connection ports are positioned on the back panel so you don’t have to fight with a cable just to tweak the volume! The large, stylish dials on the sideKIK are incredibly accessible, meaning you won’t have to reach far if you need to tweak anything mid performance.
Stylish, compact design
Coming in at just under 450mm, the sideKIK is ultra-compact. This is perfect for integrating into your practice set-up; either set it underneath a keyboard stand or slot in around your digital drum frame. You can even keep it out on display with its stylish and modern, all-black design that's sure to add a touch of class to any home environment.
Not only does the sideKIK look great, it is built to withstand the rigors of continued use thanks to its hardened plastic chassis and steel grille. This ensures a solid, consistent performance at all times, regardless of superficial damage.
