More than just a repeater

The Mimeophon combines multiple ways to interact with your source audio. The multi-purpose module is not just a stereo delay and repeater module, it provides endless possibilities for sound design and audio manipulation. The unique design combines a variety of control elements with the three main parameters comprised of Halo, Colour and Repeats.

The Repeat control acts as you might have assumed, setting the feedback and delay rate of your source audio. The Colour control is great for morphing the tonality of your sound, helping to brighten or darken the tone dependent on the setting. The Rate control dictates the delay time, allowing you to sweep freely between settings, ideal for live performances and sound design. The flexible “Zone” control provides a wide range of sonic possibilities, allowing you to set the range of the delay times. For instance, you can use this control to achieve flanging and chorus effects.

Spatial effects with Skew and Halo controls

One of the more prominent features is the spatalisation controls. Using the Skew control, you can offset the left and right channels of the stereo output, resulting in different lengths. This creates a stereo-like effect that delivers a wider sound.

The highly unique Halo control works by adding a smear of sound to the repeats, effectively blurring the sound and adding depth. The Flip control works by reversing the buffer for interesting timbral results. You can also use the Hold control to capture the current buffer, which you can then use the Halo and Colour control to change the Zone and Rate parameters.
