The Keeley Pedal is designed to sound as disgusting as its name, opting for OpAmp circuitry which became iconic to the 90s musical scene as the go to fuzz sound for thick bass, perfectly scooped mids, and plenty of gain. The engineers at Keeley experimented with the original circuitry to deliver the best fuzz tone and the perfect tonal integrity, resulting in a less noisy operation with more gain and no tonal inconsistencies.
The Rotton Apple is equipped with 3 powerful controls, with the volume renamed Loud to provide more reason to turn the pedal up. Its gain control is renamed Buzz, perfectly reflecting its capability to ‘buzz’ up your tone by increasing the amount of fuzz your guitar has. Its amazing range of gain is designed to be sensitive to your guitar and strumming, offering more dynamics than the old OpAmp pedals and allowing players to roll back their guitar to create a smoother sound. The tone control is a powerful control in its own right, letting you create a variety of musical styles from submerged stone rock to a bright tonality with highs that claw at the speakers.
