The new Gibson 2015 zero fret nut offers players stability and consistency in their tone and playing. Thanks to the unique, patent applied for design, open strings will sound consistent and a lower action can be achieved without the traditional problems.

New PLEK Machine Set-Up - 27 Lower Fret Wire

Gibson have utilized the German manufactured PLEK machine for many years now - these incredible machines can scan a guitar and apply a perfect, accurate fret dress and action to the guitar. The result is that each Gibson guitar comes out of the box ready to play without any adjustments required. For 2015, Gibson have fine-tuned the PLEK set up, resulting in one of the best feeling electric guitars ever made, with 27 lower fret wire across the fingerboard.

To mark the 100th birthday of the man who started it all, Les Paul, each 2015 Gibson USA guitar will feature a new signature on the headstock. The 'Les Paul 100' signature if a fitting tribute to one of the greatest players who ever lived. Each Gibson guitar in 2015 will also feature a high gloss lacquer finish for the ultimate in visual appeal, whilst each fingerboard will feature genuine Pearl inlays.

Push/Pull Coil Tap

Utilizing a pickup push/pull coil tap in both the neck and bridge position the Gibson 2015 Les Paul Standard gives you a huge amount of tonal options allowing you to switch the pickup settings from a standard humbucking mode to a single coil with a simple flick of the mini toggle switch making it an extremely versatile guitar excellent for live situations when an array of tones are required.

New Tune-O-Matic Bridge

For 2015, Gibson have made significant improvements to their famous 'Tune-O-Matic' bridge. The bridge can now be adjusted quickly using a hex wrench, allowing players to make fast and precise adjustments to the action of their guitar. When combined with the adjustable zero fret nut, the new bridge gives players an unprecedented level of quick set up options.

Compound Radius Fretboard

The Gibson 2015 Les Paul Standard incorporates a unique and innovative compound-radius fretboard design, in which the fretboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut providing a smooth playability for both chords and riffs whilst the flattened heel allows sensational accessibility and speedy at the high register perfect for both lead and rhythm players.
