The Ibanez AEG10NII Nylon String Electro in Black has a slim and curvaceous body with a single cutaway to give you the ideal balance of powerful tones with easy playability. It is the ideal 'cross-over' instrument between traditional nylon guitar playing-styles and more modern styles of music. The on-board Fishman Sonicore pickup allows you to plug directly into a guitar amp or PA system so you can get performing on stage with the minimum of fuss. The Ibanez AEQ-SP1 preamp ensures you'll have a crisp and articulate amplified acoustic guitar tone, while the 2-band EQ with handy tuner lets you shape your sound directly on the side-mounted controls and quickly get in tune. If you want to play acoustically, you'll be guaranteed a strong and nuanced tone courtesy of the spruce top and sapele body. The top is supported with a traditional fan bracing pattern for enhanced sustain and nuance, while the mahogany neck provides additional warmth and a smooth playing feel with its satin finish. Comfortable AEG Body Shape

The AEG10NII has a single cutaway AEG body shape with a narrow width. This gives it a comfortable playing-feel and enables you to reach the highest frets with ease. The AEG shape gives the ideal balance between full-bodied tone for strumming, and a nuanced sound for delicate fingerpicking so, whatever your playing style, the AEG10NII will easily adapt and create a sympathetic sound whether plugged-in or played acoustically.

Smooth Neck

The AEG10NII has a medium-thin mahogany neck that enables easy reach over all 6 strings with a comfortable feel for the left hand. The neck is finished in satin which creates a smooth and tactile playing surface; it also ensures that the neck won't feel 'tacky' under hot conditions so when you're ready to play your first live session, the hot stage lights won't impede your performance.   

The neck is mounted with 21 frets and a smooth rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard has a completely flat radius like a true classical guitar; this creates a completely balanced feel when crossing strings. The neck has a wider nut width than a steel-strung guitar and gives the spacing required for the complex playing styles associated with the nylon-strung guitar.

Resonant Tonewoods

The AEG10NII has a spruce top and is supported with traditional nylon guitar fan bracing. The top of a guitar body creates the "voice" of the instrument, and spruce is a well-used tonewood for its bright and nuanced tone which will bring out every little detail of your playing.

The fanned bracing support helps create a strong and resonant playing surface, giving the AEG10NII an authentic nylon guitar sound. The top is mounted to a sapele body which gives the strength required for powerful acoustic projection.

The mahogany neck gives enhanced warmth and resonance, along with creating the smooth playing-feel for the left hand.

Quality Hardware & Electronics

A Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez AEQ-SP1 preamp means that, when you're ready to hit the stage, you'll be able to plug the AEG10NII straight into a guitar amplifier or PA system and get instant amplified acoustic guitar tone. The preamp has a handy built-in tuner, so you can make quick tuning adjustments on stage, while the 2-band EQ and volume controls are mounted on the side of the guitar to provide instant access for tonal adjustments.
