Feel the power. Ultimate control is only a tweak away. You can use the Bass and Treble EQ knobs on the Logan to either boost or cut your signal by around 15dB. This means if you want to beef up the single coils on your guitar or add some chime to humbuckers, you can. And it’s got a fully parametric Mid-EQ section. This broadens your tonal landscape even further by letting you set your mid frequency between 100 Hz to 2.5 kHz, while triggering the CUT/BOOST control means you can affect the selected frequency by up to 12 dB. Phew! That’s a lot of choice and manipulation for you to play around with.
But there’s even more. A footswitch that activates or deactivates the Mid-EQ and a position switch which lets you place it either before the main gain-stage (PRE) or after it (POST), open up more possibilities. Placing the Mid-EQ post-gain gives you a level boost for those solos or move it to pre-gain to saturate your frequency, giving you a second gain-stage. And you can go hands-free with the Mid-EQ. Adding in a regular expression pedal lets you make instant tone changes on the fly, as well as firing out fast wah-like sounds and blending in slow phaser sweeps.
Well, KMA have given you just that. Access to an internal trim-pot through a hole in the base plate lets you set the bandwidth (Q) of the Mid-EQ. Turning it counter-clockwise gives you smooth frequency sweeps while clockwise supplies your sound with delicious resonance. And there’s another one! Removing the base plate, you can get to the second trim-pot, where you can blend in your clean signal with the overdriven tone. See, we told you it took overdrive to a whole new level.
