The Strymon EC-1 captures the magic of classic tape echo using advanced dTape technology. Every detail, from the movement of the tape head to the subtle variations in delay repeats, has been meticulously modelled to deliver an authentic and immersive experience. Warm, organic echoes with natural decay create a rich, dimensional sound that brings the feel of a true vintage unit.

Selectable tube-modeled preamp voices

Two distinct preamp voices shape the tonal character of your delay, inspired by legendary Echoplex units. The EP-2 setting enhances high frequencies for added sparkle, while the modified EP-2 option delivers a warmer, more balanced response. Both preamps add a vintage richness to your signal, with an optional boost of up to +6dB for extra presence.

Stereo operation and deep control

Designed for modern setups, the EC-1 offers true stereo processing with independent left and right delay paths. A three-way record level switch controls the amount of tape saturation, from clean repeats to heavily saturated echoes. Expression pedal compatibility and tap tempo make it easy to adjust delay settings on the fly, while MIDI integration provides remote control over multiple parameters.

High-performance 24-bit/96kHz audio conversion ensures pristine signal quality with ultra-low noise.
