The Malekko Varigate 4+ 4-Channel 8-Step Gate and CV Sequencer builds on the design of the original Varigate 4, with a whole host of new features. You can now output to both CV and gates at the same time in either quantized or unquantized states. A new play/stop function is also included as well as new preset banks (4x4) and the option to set glide per step. The thing that sets the Varigate 4+ apart from conventional sequencer module sis the ability to sequence on each channel independently. The four-channel design provides four individual sequencers, with each having eight steps each.

The Malekko Varigate 4+ is based on the original Varigate 4. It includes the same features as the original, plus a range of new additions and functions. The Varigate 4+ now features a range of functions for creating complex and rhythmical sequences. It now features glide per step, allowing you to add different glide amount to each step in the sequence. Another new feature is the play/stop function, which allows you to play and stop the sequence when you like. You can save and recall presets, ideal for a live performance. More new features include the quantized scale adjustment, and you can now change the sequence mode per channel (forward, reverse, pendulum, and random). One of main features you now have is the ability to switch between 4 channels of 5V gate outputs, 4 channels of CV outs, or 2 gates and 2 CV outs simultaneously.
Powerful sequencing capabilities
The Varigate 4+ enables you to create complex rhythmical sequences easily. With a range of tweakable parameters, the Varigate 4+ is a powerful sequencer with the ability to create a range of simple and complicated patterns. The Varigate 4+ features a range of preset banks for you to choose from so you can instantly load up a pattern and start tweaking. The Varigate 4+ features a randomisation option, channel parameters for scales, the direction of sequence, sequence length, division, multiplications, and pulse width, providing you with a range of options for programming sequences.
Gate/CV switch
The newly introducd gate/cv switch allows you to switch between 4 channels of CV, 2/2 for 2 channels of CV and 2 channels of gates, or all 4 channels to output only gates. Each step of the sequence can be programmed with probability for gates, repeats, glide, and notes when in CV mode.
