Tailor your microphone to your performance. A switch beneath the KSM9HS grille lets you choose between two polar patterns.

- Subcardioid is wider than a traditional cardioid pattern and offers a slightly more natural, open sound. It captures more room ambience and detail - perfectly suited to low volume stages such as acoustic gigs.

- Hypercardioid is similar to supercardioid but even more narrow. For greater voice isolation and rejection of stage noise. The preferred choice for loud environments with multiple sound sources, such as stage monitors and amps.
