The Telefunken AR-51 is hand built in the USA with high quality components meaning it works well for a range of recording applications including vocals, stringed instruments, drums and even saxophones. Using the same premium, German-made transformer as the C12, the Telefunken AR-51 delivers classic tube mic sounds that every studio engineer wants. This coupled with its large diaphragm deliver an extended low end and smoother, more open highs.

The AR-51 has a power supply that features switchable polar patterns; omni pattern to capture the sound of a room or group of singers, cardiord to reject unwanted sounds, and figure 8 for mid-side recordings. The versatility and flexibility of the AR-51 makes it a great microphone for any recording situation.
