Versatile Waveshaping Capabilities

The Audio Damage ADM18 Shapes is a versatile sound manipulation module. The ADM18 provides you with a range of controls for morphing simple waveforms. The 2 modes featured on the module allow for waveshaping and switching between wavefolders for tone manipulation. Anything from a simple sine wave to full stereo program material can be shaped through the Shapes module. The ADM18 allows you to subtly manipulate or completely distort and demolish your sounds. Using the wavefolder allows you to achieve classic FM synth sounds. The algorithms used in the ADM18 are made to simulate tape distortion, tape saturation and tube saturation allowing you to create powerful, thick sounds.

Lookup Mode and Algo Mode

There are 2 modes within the Shapes module. Lookup mode offers 16 wavetables with various complexity. They are interpolated meaning there is a smooth transition between the wavetables. The param 1 knob controls the width of the wavetable where the param 2 knob controls the zero position of the wavetable which is essentially a phase effect. In Algo mode there are 9 mathematical algorithms that are not interpolated. When this mode is activated the param 1 knob controls the drive or amount (basically 'more'). The mix knob controls the amount of wet/dry mix. At full anti-clockwise you will only hear the output. When the knob is positioned fully clockwise you only hear the effect.

Stereo Waveshaper

The ADM18 Shapes module is true stereo. The left and right signals do not intermingle internally therefore you can run a kick in the left and channel and snare in the right and then vary the effect by attenuating each channel before it enters the module.
