Right at the centre of the SA-4000 MK2 lies two Stam Audio SA-202C VCA cans. Fully discrete, these are as close as you can get to the DBX 202C gold cans that lived in the initial run of SSL consoles. Thanks to Stam Audio's keen eye for detail, this makes the SA-4000 MK2 the only emulation in the world to authentically reproduce the inner circuitry of the original desk.
Hand picked and built for maximum aesthetic appeal
There's a good reason why Stam Audio's products are in high demand and not mass-produced. Each is manufactured in Chile where every component is hand-built to match the original circuitry. Not keen to rush or compromise, this process takes a great deal of time and energy. Although it's important to note. Not only does it sound great, but it also looks it too! The SA-4000 MK2 comes complete with premium Sifam knobs and VU meters for maximum aesthetic appeal!
External Sidechain
The SA-4000 MK2 expands on its predecessor offering even more control when it comes to side-chaining. Unlike MK1, the MK2 comes complete with five different filters to choose from. Adjusting this selector allows you to determine when the compressor engages. This allows you to retain the dynamics of your mix, especially if it's bass heavy, without the risk of sounding squashed and lifeless. Pair this with the mix blend knob to achieve the ultimate level of compression.
