The Steinberg UR44 Audio Interface is a high-quality and affordable USB audio interface, designed for music production and recording. The UR44 boasts high-end AD/DA converters, providing a maximum sample rate of 19k2Hz, with 24-bit resolution. This results in exceptional audio fidelity, capturing every nuance from your source audio with great detail. It features four XLR combination inputs designed for use with both microphones and instruments. It also features MIDI I/O connectivity, allowing you to connect your favourite musical equipment such as keyboards, synths or drum modules.

Four class-a D-Pre mic preamps

One of the most unique features of the UR44 is the four integrated Class-A D-PRE microphone preamps, providing transparent and beautifully detailed sound. These custom mic preamps were specially-developed by Yamaha to deliver high-end sound quality at an affordable price. The mic pres are designed to capture every nuance from your microphone, resulting in studio-grade recordings.

Versatile compatibility

The interface also boasts flexible compatibility, providing support for all major DAWs, and music editing software. It provides support for ASIO, Core Audio or WDM for maximum compatibility. This ensures you can use your interface wherever you go, with its plug and play design allowing you get setup and started within minutes. The compact yet rugged full-metal casing is not only rugged but highly portable, allowing you to take your interface wherever you go. It also boasts iOS connectivity for use with Apple’s iPad or iPhone, for use with musical apps.

The interface comes complete with both Cubase AI and Cubasis LE. Cubase AI is an intuitive music software designed to offer everything you need to compose, record, edit and mix your songs. Cubasis LE is a streamlined version of Steinberg’s popular iOS music production application, providing a quick and easy way to record your music, with a professional and streamlined interface. Additionally, the interface comes complete with VST 3 versions of onboard DSP plug-ins, offering powerful sound-shaping and FX tools.

New and improved. Cubase version 10.5 introduces a range of new features and upgrades designed to improve your production capabilities and more. Visualise your work. You can now export rendered video directly from the DAW. The video export feature (Pro/Artist/Elements) allows you to render audio and video, with support for MP4 and H.264 video compression. You can even add the timecode to the export, perfect for visual post-production.

Tap into a new style of delay. The MultiTap Delay (Pro/Artist) allows you to get in-depth with your sound design, providing rhythmic echoes with a wide range of options. You can utilise up to eight taps per delay loop and even add effects to the complete output. It also features a range of character presets, ranging from cutting-edge digital delays to vintage-style echo units.

A range of new workflow enhancements are also included. For example, you can now colorise channels within the MixConsole (Pro/Artist/Elements) for quick and easy arrangement of tracks. Combined Select Tools (Pro/Artist) allows you to speed up your editing process by combining two of the most frequently used tools. You can also now import tracks from projects (Pro only) and capture MIDI data when not recording using the MIDI Retrospective Recording capabilities.
