Multiple machines for every track
Each of TONVERK’s eight audio tracks can load one of four machine types, letting you choose the right tool for each part of your composition. The Single Player mode lets you play mono or stereo WAV files with control over loop points and playback behaviour. Multi Player opens the door to multi-sampled instruments, playable with full polyphony and dynamic expression.
Subtracks turn one audio track into eight separate monophonic layers, each with its own sequencer and parameters, ideal for building complex drum kits or layered textures. You can also convert any track into a MIDI sequencer with 16-note polyphony per step and assignable CC control. This flexibility means you can shape each track based on what the music needs, without being locked into one approach.
Deep sampling and sound design tools
Sampling is at the heart of TONVERK. Use the Recorder to sample audio directly from external inputs or internal sources. For more detailed instruments, the Auto Sampler uses MIDI to record a full set of samples across your chosen range, turning your favourite synth into a playable instrument. Each track comes with its own digital filter, modulation envelope, and multiple assignable LFOs. These can be mapped to pitch bend, aftertouch, mod wheel or breath control, giving you expressive control for both studio and live use.
You can route signals across the four bus tracks, three send tracks and mix track to apply FX or shape your sound path in detail. Use FX LFOs for time-based modulation or shape transitions across scenes. TONVERK offers complete freedom to decide how your audio moves and evolves inside the box.
Creative sequencing built for control
The sequencer supports up to 256 steps per pattern and track, with polyphonic sequencing, retrigs, micro-timing and parameter locks. You can apply trig conditions and chance to create variation, switch to step edit for fine adjustment, or use arpeggiators on both audio and MIDI tracks. Each track has its own pattern length and time scale multiplier, making it easy to build polyrhythms and complex arrangements.
Chord and keyboard modes help you experiment with harmony, and you can choose from 36 built-in scales for fast melodic input. With performance tools like velocity layers, two trig modes and song mode for structured arrangements, TONVERK adapts easily from spontaneous jamming to pre-planned shows.
Studio-ready sound and hardware
TONVERK includes a wide set of high-quality effects, from traditional filters and reverbs to creative FX like Warble, Frequency Warper and Saturator Delay. These vary by track type and can be shaped using onboard modulation sources, including dedicated LFOs and envelopes. Effects can be applied across buses, sends or directly on individual audio paths.
Built into a steel chassis, the unit features balanced audio inputs and outputs, USB-C connectivity, MIDI In/Out/Thru with DIN sync, and an SD card slot. The OLED display keeps everything clear and accessible. With 48kHz, 24-bit converters, TONVERK ensures high-quality recording and playback across all sources. It’s a powerful, expandable sampler and sequencer ready for long-term use in any setup.
