Pentode Based VCA

The Erica Synths Fusion VCA V2 is a powerful, two-channel voltage controlled amplifier, featuring a Russian pentode at its core. The VCA V2 Eurorack Module combines premium-grade components with years of expertise from the Erica Synths team to produce this tube overdriven amplifier. The 2-input channel configuration is accompanied by its own dedicated attenuation potentiometers for optimal control. At its core of the module is the Russian miniature pentode 1?24B, that draws a very small power consumption, similar to that of an LED. The unique tube control and sound shaping circuitry provides a unique tonal character that is powerful yet retains the natural harmonics of the input source.

Tube Overdrive & Controls

One of the most prominent features of the Fusion VCA V2 is the integrated tube circuit and Germanium diodes. The combination of these two high-quality components drives the output, providing a punchy and warm tone, reminiscent of vintage amplifiers. The result is a unique tonal character that will punch through any mix. When overdrive is in use, you can change the way it sounds by toggling the Smooth/Hard drive, two-position switch. The Feedback control allows you to change the harmonics of the original signal, similar to that of Cutoff control on VCFs. There is also a Deform knob that operates as a waveshaper of sounds, also allowing you to control the amount of distortion.

Design & Connectivity

The sleek black faceplate not only looks good but will fit perfectly into any modular setup. The compact size is ideal for the space conscious user and the ergonomic layout provides a quick and easy way to access your controls. The centre of the faceplate features the integrated vacuum tube, with a range of patch points underneath. There are four patch points in total including dedicated connections for the two inputs as well as a CV input and an output.
