Accurate sound with tight imaging
The iLoud Precision MTM MKII is designed to give you focused stereo and surround imaging with accurate, uncoloured sound. Its symmetrical MTM (Midwoofer-Tweeter-Midwoofer) layout uses two 5-inch ultralight coated paper mid-woofers placed around a 1.5-inch graphene-reinforced dome tweeter. This design delivers reduced vertical dispersion and improved phase alignment, resulting in a tightly controlled listening field ideal for mixing with confidence.
The speaker offers an ultra-flat ±1 dB response from 45 Hz to 30 kHz, with bass extension down to 37 Hz at -4 dB. This flat and extended response helps ensure your mixes will translate well across a wide range of systems. Its linear phase and time-coherent performance, with consistency within ±20° from 150 Hz up, adds further accuracy by preserving spatial cues and transient detail.
Smart calibration with ARC X integration - with included MEMS microphone
Thanks to built-in ARC room correction, the iLoud Precision MTM MKII adapts automatically to your environment. Using the ARC X system, it measures and adjusts the frequency response, delay and level, compensating for room anomalies and speaker placement limitations. This ensures that what you hear is not skewed by your space, allowing for a more accurate judgement of tone and balance.
The included high-precision MEMS measurement microphone helps to analyse your room’s acoustics. By capturing detailed data on how sound behaves in your space it helps identify problematic frequencies and reflections. This information is then used to create a custom correction profile that ensures what you hear from your monitors is accurate and consistent, so you can trust your mix to translate well across any listening environment.
Beyond room correction, ARC X also includes reference monitor emulation, letting users replicate the frequency response of popular studio monitors within the same speaker. This can be useful for checking mixes across different speaker profiles without switching physical systems. The firmware also supports fast feature updates, future compatibility and improvements over time, making it a long-term tool in a changing studio setup.
Cabinet design that improves clarity
The MTM MKII features a redesigned cabinet with a high-damping, low-resonance MDF build that improves acoustic performance and reduces unwanted reflections. Its updated form factor supports a cleaner transient response and enhanced stereo field, making it easier to judge fine mix details like panning and reverb depth. Controlled dispersion ensures that what you hear stays consistent as you move within your listening area, which is especially important in collaborative or multi-speaker setups.
Internally, custom-designed Class-D amplifiers deliver 175 watts RMS of power, providing enough headroom for detailed work even at higher volumes. The monitor can reach a maximum peak SPL of 117 dB, supporting both nearfield and midfield applications in larger control rooms or immersive mix environments.
Flexible and forward-thinking setup
Along with its acoustic performance, the MTM MKII includes several options that improve usability and workflow. It features an optional remote control for toggling between ARC X profiles and making quick real-time adjustments. Low-frequency extension settings (35, 50, 65, and 80 Hz) allow you to tailor the low-end output based on your room or setup; particularly useful for Dolby Atmos and other immersive formats.
A new mounting system also allows for secure installation and precise angle adjustments using a dedicated metal bracket, available separately. This is ideal for multi-speaker layouts or permanent installations where accurate speaker alignment is essential. Auto-standby helps reduce energy consumption when the system is idle, and 96 kHz internal processing ensures DSP adjustments remain transparent at all times.
