Key Features
Soundtoys Little Radiator 5 puts the power of vintage, analog hardware microphone preamplifiers into a convenient and intuitive plug-in for your DAW. Expertly recreated, the Little Radiator provides the exact sonic signature of the original with a sound that is indistinguishable from the original, letting you add the characteristic warmth and gain structure, harmonics and overdrive to your mixes. Through proprietary modelling, Little Radiator accurately achieves all the interactions between components that lead to the complex signal manipulation that makes analog hardware so desirable.
Featuring a sleek and streamlined interface, Little Radiator excels at providing the signature analog sound without the endless menu diving or difficult to navigate interfaces. A simple Heat dial tunes in the amount of gain you need, with a mix knob to perform parallel processing to your signal and two switches are all that is needed to transform your audio from sterile and anaemic to classic, warm and full-bodied analog sounding. The two features switches include a noise circuit that can clean up noise from your signal for the most accurate sound, or can be left on to add the subtle character that would be present using the original hardware counterpart and a Bias knob, that lets you change the gain structure of your input to create two different sounds, one that is more choppy and lo-fi and the other more modern and shaped.
