Professionally set-up by experienced luthiers, this violin features Larsen Virtuoso strings. At a lower tension than other strings in their category they offer an unprecedented sound volume and clarity. The set up provided means it is ready to play, out of the box. It is stripped down, the nut is filed to the optimum height and string spacing is tailored to the individual instrument.

The Cessol Stradivari

Antonio Stradivari is the most renowned violin maker of all time. The Cessol Stradivari, was made at the height of Stradivari’s career, in 1716, and is a wonderful violin to copy. This interpretation of the original has all the classic elements, but with the benefit of a modern setup and build quality. This Cessol model is ideal for advancing students requiring a sound and feel to take them to the next level.

This 4/4 size Stradivari Violin is the ideal fit for most players - adults and older children can enjoy the comfortable fit of this instrument. Worry no more about adjusting the instrument to your size and concentrate solely on your musical preparation.

Stunning Materials

Using the historic combination of maple and spruce for the body of the violin, the makers have tried to be faithful to both the look and feel of the great violin. This combination of beautiful highly figured maple for the back, ribs and scroll, and the high-mountain spruce for the sound board or table, produces a focused, powerful sound with plenty of body and tonal warmth, which will only improve over time. The woods are hand selected based on their age and narrowness of grain, before being hand carved for a sound and appearance full of heritage. The instrument has good response, projection and a full tone. The violin is fitted with a top-grade ebony fingerboard, shaped for easy of playing and quality pegs, tailpiece and Guarneri model chinrest.

Providing musicians with a comfortable feel and endless tonal opportunities, the Larsen Virtuoso strings are an increasingly favourite of musicians worldwide. Using the latest materials in core material and Silver for the windings of the lower two strings with moderate tension, the Virtuoso produces a clear sound full of subtle complexities. Our luthier has set the instrument up with care and precision ensuring the violin is ready to play.

Negri Classic Case

Included in this outfit is a Negri Classic violin case made with a wooden frame, featuring a water- repellant, nylon canvas cover. The Negri Classic features carry straps so the case can be used as a backpack. The case has a velvet interior(*) with two large accessory pockets and features a high quality lock to keep your instrument safe and secure.
